OVERVIEW
The Ring Of Fire 2019 was the Annular Solar Eclipse Photographic contest conducted by Stargate across the globe. Entries were invited for the best photograph of the Annular Solar Eclipse that took place on 26th December 2019. Astrophotographers from across the world participated where stakes were high. The Best Photograph had a prize money of ₹50,000 and top 4 best photographers could win a trip to Stargate Observatory situated at Kausani, India. The thousand plus entries were first judged by the panel of expert photographers and astronomy enthusiasts. After the first screening, top 20 photographs were then put on social media platforms for people voting and winners were selected by the number of likes garnered on those platforms.
